Stew Collaboratorium (Studio A)

The Collaboratorium is a multi-purpose room with lots of tables and workspaces for projects. The room can also be reconfigured as a classroom and a large whiteboard is accessible. Capacity for general use is 8-12; for classroom seating 15-20.

Studio A includes:

  • A rack of 3D printers, including:

    • 4 Ultimaker S3s and 1 Ultimaker S5 (dual nozzle FDM printers that use plant-based PLA and water-soluble PVA)

    • 3 Formlabs Form 2 resin printers (uses photosensitive resin and a UV laser for printing)

    • 2 Prusa i3 Mk3s

  • A 3D scanner (can render objects to be 3D printed)

  • 6 laptops with design software

  • A Roland BN-20 full-color vinyl printer/cutter (can make stickers, decals and heat-transferable patterns)

  • A Roland GS-24 cutter (like a Cricut but bigger)

  • A heat press (for adhering vinyl patterns to cloth)

  • A 1” and 2” button maker (the kind you pin onto fabric)

  • A laminator

  • An industrial sewing machine

  • Two “regular” sewing machines

  • A serger

  • Beads, simple jewelry making supplies

  • General crafting supplies (pipe cleaners, glue, etc.)

  • An electronics kit, including:

    • Soldering iron

    • Heat gun

    • Oscilloscope

    • DC Power supply

    • Various components

  • A FixM Bottle Cutting kit
