UPCOMING EVENTS
EDGAR ALLAN POE AFTERLIFE RADIO SHOW. January 25, 26, 30, 31 & February 1, 2025. LOFT THEATRE.
Grinnell Community Theatre presents The Edgar Allan Poe Afterlife Radio Show, directed by Alicia Stanley. When Edgar Allan Poe sets out to keep his stories alive from beyond the grave, an otherworldly radio studio proves just the thing. Wandering spirits gather to play the roles in Poe’s most classic works, from The Cask of the Amontillado to The Fall of the House of Usher. But the grim master of the macabre is a little new to radio. What’s all this about commercials? And why is a skeptical cemetery cat sticking around for all of these stories? The delicious gothic atmosphere of this radio play will enthrall the audience at every performance.
Sponsored by West Side Family Restaurant.
Showtimes are Saturday, January 25: 7:00 pm; Sunday, January 26: 2:00 pm; Thursday, January 30: 7:00 pm; Friday, January 31: 7:00 pm; and Saturday, February 1: 2:00 pm; all tickets $20, general admission. Tickets available in person at the Arts Center or online at www.grinnellarts.org/tickets.
