To enrich the community by supporting creative expression.

VISION:

A community-focused organization dedicated to creating connections through the power of art, prioritizing arts cultivation, appreciation and participation in the Grinnell area in order to create a more vibrant community.

VALUES:

  1. Education: We believe in the inherent potential for creative expression in everyone. We cultivate opportunities for arts learning, teaching, participation and appreciation.

  2. Support: We believe in helping local artists thrive, creatively and economically. We prioritize and celebrate local creatives in our programming.

  3. Opportunity: We believe that creative opportunities should be accessible locally. We provide the spaces and resources needed to allow creators to practice, perform, make, and display their art.

  4. Community: We believe in the power of the arts to create connection. We welcome all members of the community in our programs, respecting diversity and enriching the quality of life in the Grinnell area. We are dedicated to maintaining the Grinnell Arts Center and Stew Makerspace as accessible and welcoming public spaces.
