Supplies: Newsprint (Grinnell Herald Register works well!)
Decorate: Markers+duck tape+paint+glue stick+collage with magazine pictures or what ever you have on hand.
How to:
1) Make a square from newsprint. Open up a compete sheet of newpaper. Grab bottom left corner and take it to the top edge to make a triangle. Cut off extra paper.
2) Open the triangle. You now have a square.
3) Fold in half to make a rectangle.
4) Follow the instructions.
5) Put on the crown. Tie a sheet around your neck to make a cape. Use a paper towel tube for a scepter.
Optional: Sit in a chair and make unreasonable demands!!!!
Collage yourself, friend or family!

Supplies: Photo of yourself, friend or family+
glue stick+scissors+magazines/catalogs+markers
How to:
1) Find a magazine picture you like as a background.
2) Find a photo of yourself, friend or
family that you can cut up.
3) Find images that express yourself.
4) Cut out and construct images that make you laugh!!
5) Arrange them, glue them down and draw on them if you like.
Note: The octopus fish lady is a photo of Alesia Lacina in second grade!
Crazy Eggs
(Have fun--there are no mistakes!)
Supplies: balloon+white glue (diluted a little with water)+paint brush+scissors+newsprint+wrapping paper/magazines/colored paper for decorating egg+marker+string+masking tape to attach string
How to:
1) Blow up balloon to size of a large egg and tie it shut.
2) Tie a string around the knot to hang onto while brushing glue onto the surface of the egg.
3) Cut small pieces of plain paper or newsprint.
4) While holding the string brush a small part of the egg with glue.
5) Place paper onto egg and then go over the paper with glue.
6) Continue until you have covered the whole egg with two layers of the plain paper or newsprint. Hang egg to dry a little.
7) Cut small pieces of the wrapping paper, magazine or colored paper to decorate the egg.
8) Place paper onto egg and then go over the paper with glue.
9) Continue until you have covered the egg.
10) Hang the egg from the string until it dries.
11) Pop balloon with scissors at the place where the balloon was tied and remove balloon and string.
12) Attach a looped string to top of the egg with tape. (The string is for hanging in a window or on a tree. You may choose not to include a string.)
13) Glue paper over the tape and top opening to cover.
14) Draw on them if you like.
Note: Sometimes the balloon will lose air while drying. Don't worry. After the egg has dried and you remove the balloon, you can reshape the egg by reaching inside with your finger or a pencil.
Simple Stain Glass Cutouts
Supplies: Glue stick+scissors+paper
or magazine picture+colored or patterned tissue paper
How to:
1) Fold square paper 3 times into a small triangle (#1-4). As you would when preparing to cut a snowflake.
2) Cut shapes out leaving the unfolded edge uncut (#5).
3) Open the design (#6).
4) Glue onto colored or patterned tissue paper.
5) Place in a window.
Abstract Mini Collages
Supplies: Glue stick+scissors+magazines/catalogs+markers
How to:
1) Use scraps from past projects or cut out new shapes.
2) Play and arrange.
3) Glue them down. Draw on them if you like.
