Molly joined GAAC in early 2011 as the residency coordinator of Grin City Collective (then the Grinnell Artist Residency) and to administer the growing Arts Endowment. She started her work as Director in December 2011. A writer and swing dancer hailing from Madison, WI, Molly received her B.A. from Grinnell College and worked with two other artist residences before returning home to Iowa to join the Arts Council. She welcomes any questions about any of our programs, or obscure British television programs.
Grinnell Area Arts Council Apprentice
Mary joined GAAC in August of 2012 as one of the Grinnell College apprentices in Non-Profit Management. She is currently a 2013 English major from St. Louis, MO, and is excited to take on a larger role in the Grinnell Community. Mary spent fall 2011 studying European art, culture, and history in Copenhagen, but her favorite travel destinations are ghost towns across the US.
Kate joined GAAC in July 2012 as the arts center coordinator. A locally raised theatrical designer and jill-of-many-trades, Kate is excited for the opportunity to give back to the artistic community in Grinnell. Her passions extend beyond the artistic world into outdoor adventure, foodie culture, and wrestling with her dog on the living room floor.
Graphic Designer & Studio 4 Instructor
Alesia Lacina has been a part of GAAC for over ten years, originally as a board member and currently as a graphic designer and Studio 4 instructor. Alesia is a long-time Grinnell resident with a degree in graphic design and an MFA in painting. One of the best aspects of Alesia's job is the opportunity to see all the creativity in the K-4th graders she works with each week.
