GAAC Scholarships
Grinnell High School Fine Arts Scholarship
Since 1991, the Grinnell Area Arts Council has awarded a scholarship to a graduating senior at Grinnell High School. The Arts Council will award up to three scholarships of $400 each, in the areas of Visual Arts/Creative Writing, Music, and Theatrical Arts/Dance. Grinnell High School seniors may apply as many of these areas as they wish, although a student may only be awarded one scholarship, even if they apply in multiple areas. Application deadline is April 19, 2013 (submit all materials to molly@grinnellarts.org, or bring them to the Grinnell Arts Center).

GAAC Mini Grants
The Grinnell Area Arts Council is interested in supporting local artists and art projects through a mini-grant program. Grants are awarded throughout the year as funds are available; GAAC's budget year begins in September. The Council considers applications quarterly. The deadlines are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. In most situations, the council will consider the request at one meeting and make a decision the following month.
Grants of up to $500 are awarded. Projects should support the GAAC mission. If you plan to apply multiple times, please be sure to diversify your project requests to demonstrate that the funds would be used for a variety of events.
To apply for grants of amounts more than $500, contact the Art Center directly to discuss additional fundraising resources.
